1920*1080 is supported so long as you update your console. (That's the highest res available). As far as your resolutions go I assume that it's possible.

1920 x 1080, apart from knowing what the 360 is capable of, is totally useless to people with 1680x1050 or 1440x900 monitors.

theres been a hell of a lot of people pointing out that 1920x1080 is possible, so its not resolution limited. and other resolutions are 16:10 so its not the aspect ratio.

    so whats the excuse

I've tried it on 1680 x 1050 on a monitor over VGA and it works fine mate.

HD-DVD is a little grainy as it's a bit stretched, but games look good

    Hope that helps

It only supports 4:3 and 16:9 ratios as far as I'm aware.

    It'll do 1280 x 1024, 1280 x 720, 1360 x 768 & 1920 x 1080 at the top end of the scale. Try 1360 x 768 if 1080 doesn't work.

my 20" widescreen has the ability to keep the 16:9 aspect ration but fills the screen so I have very small black bars at the top and bottom but it looks better stretched

I would prefer an option for 16:9 close to 1680x1050 though, it does look a bit (emphasis on a bit) grainy due to being stretched up from 1366x768

still not too shabby though (GoW still looks amazing)
