import wii remotes?

I am about to get a Wii finally but as usual the prices in UK are higher than elsewhere so I was wondering if Japanese/American Wii remotes work on UK Wii? Cheers

Dont know about the remotes but from my experience at work the nunchucks and classic controllers do

I would have thought so, just a simple sync up. But after Tax and Import duties will it really be cheaper?

Stuff like softare is cheaper but hardware is noramlly less so.

Think I will give it a try, my mate lives in HK and hes coming over soon so hopefully they should cost <&#163;20 for a remote! Will let you know if it all works well or not.
