    FEAR (xbox 360 version)

Has anyone played this? I am guessing most of us who were interested played it through on pc but as i didnt/dont have a capable gaming pc, i decided to give the 360 version a try.

I remember it being a big game at the time but having just finished it, this version has left me underwhelmed. I found the single player dull and repetitive with only the slow mo feature making it mildly engaging. The audio mix is poor and so i had to turn the sound effects and game music right down so i could hear the scattered dialogue and try to piece together the 'story'. The graphics were a pathetic effort to be honest and the game ended abruptly without a final boss fight

As I recall, the PC version didn't really have a final boss fight either. Sounds like they didn't really improve anything on the X360 version.

I'd never played the PC version, so didn't really know anything about the game. I really enjoyed it, but did find it repetitive and as a result didn't complete it.

I fought through to the end purely because i had paid for it . It took me about 8hrs to finish it which is quite short to be honest. If you dont like a game enough to finish it then it cant be anymore than a 5/10 surely.

Its far too repetitive and the level design is shamefully dull. Also, i could have kicked myself for saving all of my canon ammo for a last boss fight that never took place

Probably one of the most overhyped game of...er...the year it came out, 2005?

People were ranting and raving about how great it was, but after playing it I just couldn't get why people were making it out to be the best FPS of all time. I enjoyed my playthrough on the PC version, but I didn't think it deserved that much praise. It had a couple of cool weapons, the graphics were amazing when it was released, the AI seemed pretty clever, but definitely not what the gaming community made it out to be.

Multiplayer wasn't anything special either, I got the feeling from this game that it was trying to be a scary HL2, but it only really took the worst bits about the way HL2 plays and none of the good stuff.
