From what THQ told me I'll be recieving a key at the end of the month. So I think that is when it is going live.

As for being in development try 5 years. It's "original" release date was in 2004. I've not been particularly interested in thsi game so I shouldn't be quite so susceptible to the possible anticlimax of it's release.

Got mine on pre-order from PC World!

Wouldn't usually touch them, because they are sooooo overpriced, but they seem to sell most pre-orders for £19.99. I've got STALKER and Quake wars on pre-order from them.

They send it using a Courier so you can get it on day of release too.

Sorry. I pre-ordered NWN2 from them, also expecting to get it on day of release. I didn't. Instead my order was shown as 'out of stock' depsite the fact they were now selling the game proper in stores and collect at store, non-pre-order as in stock.

No amount of phoning did anything, they just said that the warehouse for pre-order deliveries was out of stock for that title, and they couldn't get it from any of the local stores that had it 'in stock'.

Eventually it turned up a month after release. To an address I couldn't get to to sign for it. And they wouldn't tell me when they'd deliver, or re-direct it or anything.

PC World were very prompt with my BF2142 delivery but not so my housemate. Weird.

Anyhow Stalker will be very good if it lives up to what was promised. It has definitely been a long time coming and I'm worried it'll be a flawed product for it so I won't pre order but rather wait for people's opinions.

The screenshots from about 3 years ago looked great. This games release looked to be iminent when the 9800xt was the fastest card on the market...

We'll be seeing DNF as a launch game for NVidia's new holosuite...

£24.99, but thats the collectors edition, couldn't find the regular game on there.

EDIT: Ah they've added it now, but it's still 25 quid, may as well stick with the CE :p

Had mine on pre order for 17.99 for over 2 years now..... and they have changed the product to the special edition box with bits n bobs... :P

Can't decide whether to get the special edition at £25 or save the pennies and get a normal one for 18...

Phoenix198 linked us all to powerplaydirect.com in Hexus Bargains, which has the LE tin for £17.99 delivered. :)

I was really looking forward to this 'back in the day' but now... meh, I'll pick it up at some point.

I have to wonder if this is worth having after so long a wait. Just checked my old order on play.com and it is still there same price after all this time.
