    Well, my copy finally arrived

Just had a quick couple of games and it plays fine on my system on high everything (no AA and low shadows), even with 300+ units on screen. Stuttered a bit even on Med with spybot and zonealarm running, but when I shut those down, framerates and load times were much faster!

truly amazing game, the rts i have awaited since TA, runs superb on my e6600 rig. I got the cybran faction pack, nice french posters sacre bleu!

Ive completed the UEF and Cybran campaigns and theyre epic, the last mission when your on earth, jesus christ, 100s upon 100s of units slogging it out, over land, sea and air, masses of base defense, super units everywhere. I must have heard "tactical missile launch" about 10 times in 3 seconds, the nukes were landing everywhere, gawd it was epic, and at the end of it all you get a nice little fmv end of campaign sequence

I love the cybrans because of their great units and amazing superunits, but after doing the uef campaign they have certainly grown on me, i like them alot, their fatboy superunit is brilliant

Im not to sure about the aeon tho, they seem to piss me off throughout the campaign, nothing i like doing more than nuking them into the stone age, but hey they get a 40 storey collossus super unti so we shal see ive just started their campaign

Hehehe this is doing my head..........

Posts like this reall make me think why don't i love this game, but i really don't like it. Im only going on the demo here, but it's just not as good as i had hoped. It just takes to dam long to do anything. it takes hours to get a decent economy up, unless im doin somet wrong.

The super units are so sexy, i might, just might re-order it.

hours to build! man you are doing something wrong ill give you some tips to boost production

build mass storage around mass extractors and mass fabricators, this will boost your mass income, for optimal production increase build a mass storage on all sides of the extractor in a + sign, if you make mass fabricators build em around them as well

build energy storage next to or around power plants etc

dont upgrade too soon or your economy will crash and you will be building at a snails pace

just take it slow build some mass extractors, energy generators then build some tech 1 engineers to assist starting up, then start going for tech 2 and keep upgrading everything (eg mass extractors) either by upgrading or reclaiming and rebuilding the tech 2 incarnation

trust me though the campaigns ease you in and will teach you everything, and the manual gives you some nifty tips, the interface is so well done its amazing

Had my copy about a day and it has my computer running about 1fps but I don't care cos it's so damn awesome. Only half way through the UEF campaign but loving it already! I've planned a new rig for a while now and this game may be what pushes me into doing it!

£18 delivered from MX2.com. Did come a little slower than Play etc but saved me money so I'm happy.

Bought mine in retail (because I'm a fool!) but for £30, I'm still generally happy! Not massively different from TA, but then I loved TA so that's not really a problem

What <is> a problem though, is second monitor support. Is anyone else finding lots of annoying glitches trying to use a second monitor? For example:
    1) Shift-queueing doesn't work - I want to queue metal extractors in zoomed-out mode on the second monitor and I can't. Grr.

2)The cursor changes correctly (when moving over something context-sensitive like reclaimable metal for example) but only for a split second. It then defaults to the standard Windows cursor so it's very hard to tell if your unit is going to move/reclaim/repair or anything such.

There are loads of other interface annoyances - any word on a patch any time soon?

Dont have a second monitor so I can't really help there but there is a patch out today, just open GPGNet and it should download the patch. Not sure if it helps the 2nd monitor issue.

Do you have any programs running in the background? Only time my cursor changed back to a windows one was when a dialog window for some app had opened up behind supcom

Yes I can confirm that there are many annoying things about the second monitor...i've not noticed the tooltip issue but your right about shift-queuing. Other things that annoy me about it are not being able to scroll it with a keyboard binding, and i occasionally have problems selecting certain units on it...

BUT I don't really mind these little problems, i'm just grateful to have an RTS that uses my second monitor..it really makes it a different game.

Been playing online a lot recently and it's buggy as hell. All afternoon managed to play 2v2/3v3 games fine. This evening I haven't completed a single game yet.
Frustrtatingly it eithers desyncs on startup, someone times out after 5 mins, gets uncontrollably laggy after 30 mins (1 frame a minute type lock-up), game crashes anywhere between 5-30 minutes (both me and other people), don't work properly with Audigy cards etc.. I suppose it's the same as any other game on launch, but it's soo frustrating to have a good 3v3 game going and then 30 minutes in begins to break apart.

Apparently the desynching is an issue between patched and non-patched versions (the patch that came out today). Some people haven't patched/haven't been able to patch so that could be the story. Dunno, hopefully should be smoothed out once everyone is patched up.
