I predict there will be a stratling large number of marines, probably of the terminator variety, and maybe a few chaos marines, which next to no one playing any of the other races.

We'll need to wait and see the difference between them, otherwise yes Space marines will just dominate. They must be considering this and sadly will probably make the space marines less powerful for it or other races more powerful than they should be.

Could be very cool but there are just so few MMORPG's that make it. I can't imagine it having enough size and depth.

I wonder how many classes they will implement? Eldar could be interesting if you could select their specialist classes, like warp spiders, howling banshees etc. Playing a harlequin could also be rather interesting...

Space marines should be relatively straight forward to implement, as the troops are general purpose.

    Size and depth?

One of the great advantages of the warhamemr universe is that it has had 30years development, with lots of backstory and possible options. If MMO's like guild wars can do well with only a few years of story/plot development, this has the potential to be fantastic.

But the still have to decide what and how to implement the many possible options.

You both misunderstood me, I'm referring to size and depth of the game itself. I can't imagine it living up to the license.

Hmmm. Remains to be seen if the new developer can do justice to this immense and wonderfully grim universe. I sure hope so though.

Yes there will have to be checks and balances because the DoW games were all Space Marines most of the time, with next to no one being Orks because they were under powered, maybe some kind of limit on Space Marines or something.

Its interesting but I just don't have the time or inclination to be a leveller on an MMO games.

This does sound like this could be fun. Am I the only one looking forward to Warhammer Online rather then Warhammer 40K online?
