I love Op Flashpoint, best game ever, but don't have this yet.

I did play the demo but it was buggy and run like crap - does it run OK on yours?

I heard from some other people that it's not so good. How are you finding it?

yeh its pretty pants iv been playng it for a week now, nothing exciting at all. extremely buggy game engine - one minute it looks amazing the next it looks dire.
gun feels lose and not 'realistic' at all.
firefights are random and always end up in death not bc of skill but because of invisible people shooting you from nowhere.
missions are pants. good graphics tho when it can be bothered.
read the edge mag (uk) review that pretty much sums it up.

bah just brought this today, just loaded it up and the gfx go weird i get this
    http://img123.imageshack.us/my.php?i...rmarrorsl7.jpg and this
    http://img185.imageshack.us/my.php?i...maerrormp3.jpg
does anyone know how to fix it, seems like evryone with an ati gfx card is having these probs

*edit* after tryin to play this the only thing i can say about omfg i cant believe i wasted £30 on this game its terrible, dont waste your money on it.

i played it for 10 mins on ctf multiplayer which seemed to work and bah the bugs in that are unbelievable aparently using the scroll on my mouse is supposed to change weaps, it did nothing, the weaps feel weak and walking is strange its almost like the battlewalkers in bf2142 and the sounds are just unbelievably terrible, i could create better fx than what they have

after spending the evening messing about and googling the problem it seems that 90% of ppl with an ati gfx card are having this very same problem.
Steve any chance of hexus running a piece about this as the majority of ppl with ati gfx cards are suffering with this problem and it seems abit of a joke as its not like its there a small company with only a few gfx cards on the market.
I noticed when i change the refresh rate from 72hz to 60hz it seems fine for a sec's and then goes back to normal

Damn, I ordered on sat (at least I only played £20).

According to the bohemia interactive site, patch 1.5 is due out before the end of the month, which will hopefully sort out a lot (all??) of the probs.

Was just looking it up online and it does look disappointing, I think they missed the Operation Flashpoint bandwagon, everyone has moved on.

this whole games a joke i tried to sign up for technical support on http://www.505games.co.uk/games/arma/
and it doesnt work and is not in english tried there forum as well and i need to wait for some one to authorise it and i was just reading through there eula and they seem to think they can rewrite statutory law by not giving any warranty.

Theres already been about 4 patches and its been out in other countrys since december

*edit* finally got it to work by changing one of 2 things it was either the aperature size which was set to 64mb i changed to 256 and my gfx card was set to pci-e as primary gfx card in my bios, played it properly now

Go to ATI control panel and force vsync off, makes all the difference.

Though have to say the campaign is a pile of doggy doo.

I bet it'll be great to play when someone has made a good campaign though lol. Can't play online because I'm at uni .

And as for the 'aimbot' annoyance, yea they can be pretty accurate but that's a lot of what it's about. The campaign is so idiotic though. 'We'll send one grunt in with an anti tank launcher and a satchel charge to blow up a load of tanks supported by a helicopter and two squads of infantry. Not to mention all the patrols.

    Realistic my arse.

The actual gameplay mechanics are good though, just needs patching for things like the vsync. Anyone spotted the (slightly) destructable buildings? I was cowering and a tank shell came in and then there was a nice big hole .
