    'Who Needs A Slap' Poll.

Who from the following list needs a slap around his cocky face the most? You decide!

Clarkson is on there for incessant over emphasization of the last two words of *EVERY SENTENCE*, and for not being able to act very well in the not real bits on Top Gear.

President MA for really asking for it.

Jade Goody for obvious reasons and for having a very slapable, butterlike face.

Blair because some of you voted for him, so at least try to make up for what you did.

Phil from Time Team because there was a nice bird in tiny shorts digging in a trench earlier, and it kept cuting to sweaty Phil with his stupid hat on, and his hairy legs, talking in some strange farming language that only the larger baleen Whales can understand. I don't want to see that.

I want it on record that I think Clunk is every bit as funny as Lenny Henry. And I mean that very, very sincerely.

Clarkson. A few weeks ago in the Sun (or maybe the Times, I found an old copy on my bus) he wrote a review of the latest tuned up special Renault Megane (R26 or something I think it's called, I neither know nor care). He repeatedly reckoned that the Renault engineers had equipped it with 'a differential', and that it made it a bit of a pain to drive.

Listen Clarkson YOU TWUNT, EVERY ****ING CAR HAS A DIFFERENTIAL. The sporty Renault is fitted with a LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL. If you don't know the difference you have no business being a motoring journalist you PIG IGNORANT C*CK.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

I assume you are talking about this article.

My thinking on cars was/is that: every car has a differential on non-steering wheels (i.e, rear), as this means that the inner wheel and the outer wheel can rotate at different speeds, and thus allow it to go round the corner with out "scrubbing" of one wheel.
However, Renault have, in the car that Clarkson was drving, used a front differential. As in, a differential on the front wheels. Most cars don't need one, as the steering geometry is such that the wheels point at different angles, and so each rotates at the correct speed without the need for a differential.

Renault followed Ford's lead, and have introduced a differential on the front wheels. Which, by my skim reading of the article, isn't great.

I think that's right, but it's late and I've had a wee bit to drink.

Am I completely off the mark?

On a more topic-related note, I'd slap Jade Goody, except I don't really want to go within arm's reach of her.
