Informed opinions....did this stuff really happen?

Okay, was just picking through Wikipedia, thought I'd bone up on the whole Middle Eastern situation, particularly the Palestine and Israel problem, and stumbled across an article on the USS Liberty here a story with which I'm familiar, but always felt that it wasn't entirely true, after all, how could the US let Israel get away with something like that.

Anyway, after that I came across the Lavon Affair which by all accounts really did happen, and after looking for some more information came across another site called 'what really happened' which has a collection of articles on Israel's tactics and actions over the years which were fairly unbelievable, here, here,
    here, and
    here

Now a lot of that stuff seems too far fetched to be true (especially that last link), so I wanted to know if anyone else knew about this stuff, and what the informed opinion was...frankly I'm amazed (in a bad way) that any of this could be true, even the stuff like the Liberty and the Lavon affair which seem fairly conclusive..

The Liberty affair seems to me to be pretty much an analogue of the recent and much lamented affair of the American A10 pilot attacking our armoured convoy in Iraq? So what's the point exactly?

Does this answer any of the questions re Israel / Lebanon ?
Galloway on Israel's invasion of Lebanon:

As far as I can tell, Israel seems to be very pro-active in areas of military activity against other countries... and nobody seems to care too much. Like there's some kind of hidden piece of information that US, UK etc all know, and is a reason why they let them (Israel) do what they want...

Yeah, George Galloway, lickspittle to psychotic nutcase Uday Hussein:

    http://michellemalkin.com/archives/004371.htm

Are you seriously suggesting we should take him seriously as a commentator on Middle Eastern affairs? Because the murderous, kleptocratic Hussein family didn't take much of a position on Israel did they.

If you find that hard to believe, look up the nanking massacre. Have to say though, it does seem like a lot of conspiracy theories going about. In any war, you train soldiers to kill, inevitably there will be friendly fire.

It's hard to believe that things like this can happen in the world today.

Whats even harder to believe is the "world police" decide who is right / wrong and what action to take.

Does some of it not sound a little like 9/11 in its planning? I mean technically Osama Bin Laden had only reason to thank the USA not want to kill that many innocent civilians, I mean the US government had helped the Taliban out immensely by giving them a massive sum of money to fight off the Ruskies.

I'm a firm believer in the fact that 9/11 was an inside Job - If anyone can identify the boeing 757 in the following frames please point it out to me, because I really do struggle: http://911research.wtc7.net/pentagon...dodvideos.html

The following photoshopped image to scale should hope you iidentify the problem with the "it was a 757 that hit the pentagon theory".

Yes it sounds a little bit like 9/11, more so the drone plane which could account for the plane that got shot down and the one that supposedly hit the pentagon.

I was checking out the pentagon video after watching that awful BBC2 documentary that was on a couple of weeks ago as they showed a frame of the video and said it was proof of the plane, but it looks nothing like the nose of a boeing 757 it's to long and thin.
