Apostrophe help

Ok I'm useless at using apostrophes (see, should there be one there?)

I'm writing my dissertation and don't know where to put them except for in the case of missing letters such as don't/can't etc.

I'm stuck when it comes to things like "Dreamworks Shrek..." does there need to be one in "Dreamwork's"?

This guide to writing reports says:

The other thing to remember about apostrophes is that their position when indicating possession depends on and identifies whether the owner is a single entity or many. Writing the boy's book indicates that precisely one boy is involved, ie the book belongs to just one boy whereas the boys' book indicates that more than one boy is involved

So it should be Dreamwork's since there's just one Dreamwork...hmm hang on, the companies name is Dreamworks..so should it be Dreamworks's???

hmmm but the thing says an apostrophe at the end indicates many boys' were involved...there was just one Dreamworks involved as far as I'm aware

if the possessive article ends in "s", and is not plural, the possessive apostrophe comes after the s
e.g. dreamworks' shrek as the company is called "dreamworks"
if the possessive article does not end in s, possessive apostrophe goes in between the possessive and the s
e.g. the cat's tail was black.
if the possessive article (getting sick of this now) ends in "s" and is plural, "'s" is used.
e.g. the majority of the class's students were girls
