Strange to think I was stood on top of that 10 years ago...
EDIT: Watch out it is a big picture 14MB ...
amazing picure but just crashed my Mac :(
Wow is what I said...
was a surreal day.
Shame you can\'t quite read the edge print on the film, I\'d love to know what it was taken with. Could just about be a 6x6 camera I reckon, although there\'s a lot of detail it\'s not that sharp at the pixel level.
WOW! What an awesome phot of such a tragic scene!
That is stunning.
Crashed when i tried to view it but it was looking like a clear picture :)
It's startling how much debris is on top of other buildings.
Blimey!
I think the banner on the building says it all
'We will never forget'
rather impressive!
Brilliant pciture.
Heh, somebody sent me the same pic only a couple of months after the event. It was difficult to open that 14mb file on my old Celeron 433 and would lock it up for 5 minutes when you tried to view it.
It is one of those pictures that you can just look at for ages, I spent a good 10 mins viewing it spanned across my 3 monitors the other day.
Quick tip: sometime you do need a sledge hammer to crack a nut.
Double clicking in XP shows the file in IE. this is horribly slow and painful to use.
Open it in Photoshop and you can zoom in and out instantly. moving about while zoomed in is also very quick :)
Bugger me i'll never forgot that day, even though I was 11 at the time, was ill and had a day off school and suddenly it was all over the news.
Nearly as surreal as the 7/7 attacks in London when I was doing work experience, was so eerie as I walked past an old woman and a milkman listening to the news on one of those portable radio type jobies.
That's quite an impressive photo! Was looking at a photo of them the other day, from when I went to NY a good few years ago. Eerie!
