You just need an H and you have DUH :D
a few of my friends spelt 'fudge' with there gcse exams
One of my mates spelt DUDE with his A-levels. His parents weren't too happy...
Somebody at my old school got B, A STAR, D in the Sciences, I seem to recall.
I'm happy :)
I got A in C1, B (79) in C2 and A in S1 for maths, so i now have an AS :D
Got an A in physics too..
This was all well and good, and then i found out that i screwed chemistry up and got a C..
I'm reasonably happy...
Maths - D1 - 90/100 (A)
Further Maths - S2 - 98/100 (A)
Physics - Forces, Fields and Energy - 90/90 (A)
Economics - Labour Market - 77/90 (A)
Fortunately, that gives me a substantial margin for error come June, especially in the first three subjects - those are the most important for my University offers.
Where have you got offers for, mike?
With those marks Oxbridge?
Ah cool
I'm hoping to read Physics at Oxford or Warwick.. So.. chemistry is a bit of a blip, but i'll get an A in further maths next year (express course :P)..
Yay, just checked the warwick prospectus - they only want AAB to do physics.. so that should be a good backup choice :)
I did AS resits in ICT and english and got high B's in both, making me 1 step closer to getting into bournemouth to do computer animation:mrgreen:
Don't go to Bournemouth, it doesn't compare to Teesside (I do comp animation at Tees) :p Seriously our teacher told us he went down there for an open day and some final years were asking him how to do a walk cycle...A WALK CYCLE!! You should learn that within 5 minutes of starting!
Up to you really but Teesside has a better reputation for animation than B'mouth.
Hrmm..you've gotten worse since i last saw you
I did really excellently rubbish:
Maths (D1) - 79 (B)
Maths (M2) - 82 (A)
Maths (C4) - 47 (E)
Maths (FP1) - 42 (E)
Physics (Mod2) - 59 (C)
Maths/100, Physics/90
Good thing i decided not to go to uni :undecided
just done mine aswell :)
Business Studies 60/90 (C)
Computing 32/110 (U) (Don't ask)
Law 76/90 (A)
Media Studies (only done coursework so far :))
Fuxored up some of my AS levels last year, just got my retake results; re-did all of chem and one bio module:
Chem:
foundation - 69/90
chains and rings - 69/90
how far how fast - 113/120
Bio:
Transport - 96/120
Gives me an A in chem up from a C and a B in bio overall (got to redo the last biology module in the summer with my A2s.)
Quick question mate, how difficult is it doing all three chem exams in one sitting?
(I'm retaking foundation this summer, so i'll be doing them all in one go (AS))
My chem teacher says that most people do it tend to screw up all three, but i know people who go to colleges who do it that way anyway.. so it can't be too bad..
It's worth retaking as much as possible as there's always the chance of an easier paper, increased overall knowledge of the subject etc - providing, of course, you're sufficiently organised to weight your revision schedule to allocate a suitable amount of time to retakes (vs the new paper).
ie. treat retakes as a chance to improve, but spend the vast majority of the time preparing for the new one.
Also, retakes tend to be of more benefit to the lazy / distracted first time around rather than those who are genuinely having a hard time with the course. The former are also less likely to panic in the face of large amounts of chemistry.
I think i did ok....
Maths (d1) 83/100!
Maths (c1) 100/100
Chemistry Unit 1 90/90
Physics AS Work, Rest and Play 100/100
:O Congrats.. but what went wrong with Decision?
Have they made A-levels easy or something?
I can understand doing badly in something; when things go wrong they tend to go quite wrong, but the results seem to be quite polar.
Kids these days... :P
Doing all three in one go isn't too bad, there's a bit of overlap here and there even if there shouldn't be (or so I find). End of the day it's really down to how much work you put in, if you do enough revision doing the whole thing in one go is no real hardship.
