I go there 3 times a year minimum.
If it's your first time, see as much as you can.

Statue of Liberty is worth viewing, watch out for dodgy black men with fake watches who do NOT leave you alone.
(I haggled one down from $400 to $20, and still said no - shows what it's actually worth)

Empire States Building is nice, your call on whether to pay to go all the way up, if it's night and the sky's clear - gopherit.

Ground Zero is worth a look. Puts a lot of things into perspective. Quite moving, more so than I expected.

Go to Maddison Square gardens. turn so you're facing the main entrance of Penn station. Turn around. Cross the road and walk left. Take your first right. There are a few porn shops on this road - but on the left side is an Irish Pub. And it's not bad.

Visit New Jersey if you can drive. An hour or thereabouts drive and some lovely places, and not so full of ignorant people.

I'll find out if I'll be paid or not for Scotland - it's not looking great, but I am elischhhhe anyway Agent! I can make VB calculators with a picture of a mole on it, which, when clicked, pop up messages stating:
    The Mole says:
    No, no, no Moron!

    Ahhh. PJ btw.

New York is the best place on the planet . I have been twice most recently in November. Get a guide book and plan what you want to do before you leave or u shall get overwhelmed because their is so much to do. Oh yeah and Times square is a must i stayed about four block from it amazing :@)
