Im so shocked what just happend. Dont know what to say
Indeed, very sad, i can't believe it.
How the hell did it happen? Makes you wonder. Watching the world cup game at the mo
............ Im sure we'll find out more soon.....
Pakistani are not stupid animals please dont insult.
I think he was in shock that Pakistan lost against Irland casuing him to have a heart attack. I think Pakistan cricket team should be ashmed. If we won Bob wouldnt be dead. Im so p***sed of with pakistan cricket team.
Well firstly can I just say I am completely shocked at this
R.I.P Bob, :surprised:
he was a good coach and will be missed greatly. There are several possibilities; something horribly tragic had happened, you know what I mean (stress of job). I just hope that it is not suicide. Pakistan are such a cricket hungry country so the stress of the job must have been huge. But please people lets not talk about what we think of Pakistan's people and what some body/bodies might have done/caused. Lets just wait and see what happens.
Very shocked R.I.P also please dont insult Pakistani's.
It was a complete shock, but it must be very stressful to coach such a cricket mad country. Expectation is very high for the teams on the sub-continent.
what you mean mad country? And pakistanis are not animals!
Rip
I saw this tonight and I was shocked. I guess it's just one of those cruel things that happens.
Please don't speculate.
Let's think of the man and what he has achieved.
My condolences.
damm right, we cant talk about his un timely death until the authorities tell us what has happened.
RIP Bob Woolmer. I remember him from when he played for England in the late 70's. I love cricket and the sport has lost a great man.
No it can't, totally different situation. The fans your talking about are Hooligans, and they only go to the game, to get into a fight, with other people.
Pakistani cricket fans, as well as Indian fans, are fine, until they loose. Cricket is pretty much religion in these countries, it's far bigger than you can imagine. I can't be arsed to explain because you probly couldn't even point out Pakistan on a map, let alone know what im talking about.
Rip Bob sterling job you had done, ye shall be missed

:surprised: :surprised: :surprised: :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:
here we go
did someone do him in then?
it looks that way :surprised:
No not at all, it is just that Police have called his death suspicious which led me to say 'it looks that way' meaning yes it does look like he could have been killed.
Strewth mate strike a light, whats this world coming too?
I think the term suspicious covers other things apart from murder. It could also be suicide.
of course. either way theres more to this than we know right now
Yes I agree something about this just isn't right apart from his tragic untimely death.
i tell you what happend
the matches with pakistan where fixed. Bob found oiut he was going to go to the press. Someone knew he found out about the match fixing so they kill him.
Pakistan playinh so well! today
R.I.P Bob Woolmer,
he was a fantastic coach and was ahead of his time, while at Warwickshire coaching they dominated most of the mid 90's, he'll be sorely missed :(

if that is true we will see one of the biggest sport story\'s for a very long time. I hope for the games sake and Pakistan\'s sake that is not the case. But even if it is I doubt that it will ever be make public.:undecided
The Jamaican police are saying there is evidence of strangling. He apparently has a broken vertebra in his neck.
Coroners report says he was strangled, its now officially a murder investigation.
Its pretty shocking news. Sounds weird that there wasn't a struggle.
Aparently, the police are stumped.
:surprised: I hope they get the dastards.
Must have been a few of them to take him down, he was a big unit.
I bet it's got nothing to do with match-fixing. Criminals don't turn up to muder someone without a weapon.
It'll have been a fight with someone he knew that got out of hand.
mm... broken bones are out of hand, strangulation seems a lot more clear cut intent
Well whoever killed him did it because they were angry with him (obviously) but it suggests that the man/men who killed him were directly involved with the events leading up to his murder. What I am trying to say is I don't think it was a ordered kill or contract kill by a gang but by a person/persons who have lost something and they wanted revenge. (sorry if it makes no sense. :P)
Yeah the punks knew what they were doing, cant just stick your hands around someone's neck, without a struggle Poor guy must have knew em
not necessarily tho, if someone was to blag there way into his room in a "im here to check your meter" way (but obviously not saying that) then that would do it.
The conclusion appears to be that Bob Woolmer died of natural causes:

Quote: "Jamaican police are to announce next week that Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer died of natural causes and was not murdered as they had initially stated, Britain's Daily Mail said on Saturday.
Citing a source close to the inquiry, the newspaper says Jamaican authorities will say they are no longer treating the death suspiciously and that the 58-year-old died of heart failure brought on by ill health and possibly diabetes."
