TVtoPC and other free satellite programs

Hi All,

I have seen a lot of software being advertised recently that claims to allow you access to top satellite stations as well as live uk football matches.

This seems to look like a scam but if anyone has had any experience with anything similar, please let me know.

it's not legal

it's possible to get satelite into a pc directly, but it's dodgy if you want access to sky

I've generally found the servers to be drastically overloaded so the viewing experience is poor. Also I'm a bit nervous about downloading apps that are doing something a bit naughty as if someone's clever enough to do that then they are well capable of nicking passwords etc.

The safest way around this is to get off your backside and go to the game. No downloads, good viewing experience, and you get to have a few beers with your mates.

Indeed it doesn't. Neither advocating nor dismissing it. Just thought that site migt provide more info, I can't say whether it is a sockpuppet or not. The service is unlikely to be legal (although it may get through on a loophole). Disclaimer over.

P2P TV is the way to go if you want to watch sport that no UK channels have bothered to broadcast

I have been thinking about switching from regular tv to another service like satellite. I know there at a lot of options out there and wanted some advice on what I should look for or purchase. It's sad, but I am spending about $200 a month on my tv service and I am getting less than 70 channels. I would love more channels, hd television, and a tivo/tv recording box. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.
