I've got someone really pestering me to sell them a domain i registered a while ago but didn't use. What's the best & safest way of selling it to them?
what is it? I know there are domain name brokers out there which can manage the sale of domains for a small percentage.
You could always put the domain in small adverts on some forums.
I know there are specific websites that just deal with domain name deals etc.
Are you are worried about receiving payment from them or about the transfer process?
If you are bothered about the cash side of things you could either ask them to paypal you the sale amount or list it on ebay with a "buy it now" and let them know as soon as it's up.
Does this answer your question?
May i ask what was better than Juicy Lucy?
http://www.domainthenet.com/transfer.asp dunno if that's any help.. Does the company you bought it from have a transfer service?
I sold a domain name years ago. I don't remember exactly what I did but I do remember getting a letter notarised. I think I then sent the letter to the company I had registered the domain with. This will have been to let them know I was giving permission for them to change the details to the buyer.
I sold one, all I did was go into my domain registrar system (godaddy) and tell them the name of the new owner and the nameservers he would be using, they did the rest and I got paid via paypal...
Matt.
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
All you do is go to nominets website and there is a form on the site for transfers to new owners. You fill out your bit with a letter on headed notepaper and the buyer fills their bit in. There is a small admin charge £15 from memory.
Takes about a week to come through.
