Yeah why not I'll shut "mine down" but not my mates when I'm at his house at the weekend.
I tend to shut mine down when I'm not going to be in for a day or two anyway. Save's my bills and the cash can go on more fun things :)

I shut mine down whenever I leave the room for more than 15 mins (ie to go and cook or go into uni etc) but I couldn't go a whole day without it.
Maybe generally I could, but not with my final project/dissertation due in, in 3 weeks or something.

doesn't work for me either but I guess its about not turning your pc off for one whole day as some kind of econimcal exercise.. or social exercise etc..
I always turn mine off when im not using it anyway..stupid to leave it on....unless its my laptop...cus that does all my downloading :p

Yes, I can go weeks without turning my pc on, but I do this because I want to, not because some twonk thinks "lets put a useless site up and see how many people we can get to turn their pcs off".
I'm sick off these useless things people dream, just about every day now is a 'dedicated' day.

Whilst it embarrasses me to admit it, I couldn't actually spend a day without my laptop. Mainly because it is my telly/music player, but also cause of the internet.
If I spent a day doing other things, then yes, I could go without it, but on the average day I use my PC a lot :(
Amazing how in less than 20 years we have become so dependant on technology, principally computers...
I suffer no PC withdrawal symptoms when I visit another country. If anything, I feel great. Term times, it is rarer, I can if I have better things to do (there -are- better things to do).
I'd rather chew off my own feet. I went a week before (honeymoon) and that was bad enough...and we were in Cancun in a 5 star resort!

Yes i could and i do quite often.. in between gaming, etc.
But i don't really see the point of doing it just because some website says it'll be fun. If there was a bit more logic behind it , like if the entire world shut down their pc's for a day (excluding businesses, just home pc's) we'd save a hundred barrels of oil or something, then maybe.
Nope. I could go out and do stuff, but I guarantee that there would be at least a few minutes at home where I just had to find something out or check my email. :(
If I really wanted to I could, but I wouldn't want to... so thats a nope

Music, TV, internet, work, games. My PC(s) do it all, so in a word, no, not if I'm going to be at home.

If i'm offshore i can go up to 3 weeks without internet or computer access of any kind.
When i'm at home though, all my music, TV and radio is though my PC, a lot of communications with friends and family is through my laptop.
So yeas, if i had to i can easily go without my "fix", but would i choose to? no.
i voted yes, but my broadband is up early, so no now. maybe next saturday yes but not this one, i got stuff to catch up on
