    New Wembley.

All i can say is that if 55000 people generate that kind of atmosphere with a friendly i can't wait for 90000 in an important game with the full senior squad.

I'll get some pictures up shortly, but damn its an awesome stadium.

Shame the boys last night couldn't do a decent job. Where's the fire in their bellies? At least Beckham would run himself ragged all match.

agreed - we seem to be still stuck in the same problem of showing loyalty to to many players - Frank Lampard hasn't performed for England for some time now and is still pencilled in as a guaranteed starter

yet again Hargreaves was instrumental in midfield and was playing the ball around nicely

i certainly wouldn't like to be McLaren today

hopefully the first game in the stadium will pick there performances up

Our game was shocking to say the least. I gotta agree with Terry when he said he just doesn't understand why players are so different in a white shirt from their usual colours.

If we continue to play the way we did we can kiss the Euro's goodbye already.

It really is staggering how England can't perform, the players are there but who knows what is missing...

...at least David Healy is keeping Northern Ireland flying high! Joint top scorer

    Pictures.

As promised pictures are on the links below. They're still the full quality pictures so i'm linking to them rather than putting them inline.

It should give you a good idea of how impressive the stadium is.

    Approach

    (45mins before kick off approx)
    First Looks

    Kick Off
ABout 55k people in at this point, mainly as they are only allowed to fill it 2/3rds full.

Look pretty similar in construction (from the inside I mean) to the emirates, which I've been to a couple of times. The 3 tiers seem to be 'higher' though. All in all it looks impressive.

I didn't see anything like that myself, players weren't slipping all over the place, but they were using the sprinklers before the game and during the half time interval.

Certainly looked a good pitch to me, but not playing on it you can't really say too much.

Sod it, you Jocks can come down and play there. It would be more entertaining than the crap we are producing atm. Never thought I'd ever say that.
