    Parking Ticket in Wimbledon !

Went to see Spiderman3 and parked on a single yellow down Gladstone Road SW19.

    I got a ticket at 20:15 stating:

I was parked in a loading gap marked with a single yellow line.

Does anyone know what this looks like or how I would know I was blocking a loading gap.

As far as I can tell there was a no garage or driveway I was blocking.

    Help please.

This doesn't have anything to do with the loading bay, but I thought you could only park on a single yellow line for just a short time only. 20 minutes or something, not enough time to see a film anyway.

i thought you were only allowed to park on single yellow lines beteen 6pm & 6am or something like that. Dont take my world for it though.

    edit:

    ''no waiting 8am - 6pm?''

    Operative bit being 'waiting'.

Don't think you can park there at any time of the day. May be wrong though.

There should be a sign saying what the restriction is, the restiction varies from place to place.

I think that single yellows mean that restrictions apply, but they're only between certain hours(so read the signs basically).

We have single yellows around our area that are from 11am - 12pm (i.e. 1 hour in a day) to stop commuters from parking on the street instead of in the train station car park.
