Editing thread titles by double clicking?

I've just notice you can double click a thread title (that you started) in the forum view & you get a couple of seconds to edit it before it then takes you into the thread, is this intentional as you don't get enough time to edit it, I just about managed to put an exclamation mark at the end of my test thread!

Re: Editing thread titles by double clicking?

It was part of the changes made when Steve introduced the "prefixes" function, initially for the for sale section. I suspect that you're probably clicking on the hyperlink, so the page begins loading whilst you're trying to type.

Usually the best way to use the thread renamer is to click further to the right, away from the hyperlink.

Even easier though, and the method I prefer, is to go into the thread, edit the first post, go advanced, then change the title from there. AFAIK that should now show the changes in the forum page.

Yeah I normally use the advanced way, just found this out the other day though & wondered why it didn't work properly, guess I now know!
