    Why?

    I've got 2 questions which i'd like to know the answer too... I'm after serious answers... No daft jokes please!


    1. Why are fire engines red?

    2. And why are the green goddesses green?

    1. Because red is a danger colour, therfore people can generally see it better, and can avoid it etc, i guess ?

    2. no idea, because they didnt know red is an inate danger colour ? or because they wanted to sneak up from behind green trees and own houses with water?

    Cos fire engines have always been red, to be seen easily, recognised for what they are and to represent fire.


    Goddesses are green because they are military fire appliances, and you can't put a bright red fire tender on a concealed position, cos it'll stand out like asore thumb
