You're not following... I saw that bit... but I mean having a listing for all the posts you've been thanked for. Instead of having to go search for them.

Like for example... this morning I'd seen that I was thanked for a post... but I haven't got a clue which one... How can I find out what it was that I was thanked for?

There must be a way to drill down to your own personal threads, I've not been thanked so it didn't work for me <dramatic sigh>

You follow the link, it gives a list of all the posts you have been thanked for (otherwise you have only made 1 post ), if you click the bit of text it takes you to it (the one that includes the start of your post)



Like so (the one the big red arrow is pointing to, you can do that if you are thanked in more than one post)

well, you've only made 34 posts, its not too big a job just to scan your posts and see which ones have been thanked.

Hahah, yeah I did that in the end but I just thought there might be a better way than scanning through every post you have made. I know I don't have many posts now but in future I might. You have 6,101 posts and that sounds like a pretty big job to me

Because a lot of the time when it happens, it generally points to someone using it to bump their post count (to get the required amount of posts for the Scan Free Delivery), or as a prelude to spamming (once the required amount of posts to reach the number to post links has been reached).

It tends to be even more obvious when the reply that necros the thread doesn't actually add anything to the overall conversation for the resurrection to be worthwhile, and in a number of cases making a new thread on the subject rather than adding to an old one might make more sense.

Your case is clearly an exception as you were genuinely wanting to figure things out and found what you thought was the appropriate thread to ask in rather than making a new one.
