    Play Monkey Island on P800/900

Im sure many of you will have seen this, but Ive just got my P800 repaired (new screen, lucky I had insurance eh), and Ive downloaded EScummVM from My-Symbian (link) installed monkey island and loom off some old floppys I haver archived, and wahey, playing it on my P800. Its far better than any of the commercial games that other people have developed, and IMO better than the other emulators out there. Perfect for playing on a touch screen, with full sound and the graphics look great when that small. Check it out if you have the game, and even if you dont you can download a demo from somewhere to try it.

Check authors homepage link for FAQ and compatibility

/goes to play on his phone

Am downloading this when I get onto a fast connection. I heard it crashes in places and there're problems with certain areas of the game with you having to complete sections on a PC and then reload it down to the phone. Still it's point/click and must be better/easier to play than Vrally and Doom 2.

yea, its very easy once you get the controls, and the whole lot would only take 8meg (best to do via USB cradle IMO) download, tho if I remember you're on a slow connection (~9k?), so not something you want to do.

As for the crashing, well that happens in some games, but as you say you can put it ont PC, do the part, and put it back to play on on the phone. A quick look shows that the following games are fully completable on the phone:

    Day of the Tentacle
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Wits Path)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (256)
    Loom VGA (Practise or Standard)
    The Secret of Monkey Island

    and:

    Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
    Sam and Max

are both completable with a little help from the PC. Surely all at least good games, and for me, as I had the disks - free.

Im sorry I keep going on, its just the best gadgety thing ive done with my phone, and Im now readdicted to these classics

Will have to search some abandonware sites/bargain buckets to pick these games up - am really tempted now.
