I notice, without predudice, that no technical information is available?!!
A quick google brings up a pdf with a better insight. http://www.moller.com/files/M200_Brochure.pdf
Yep you want the Moller Skycar
Currently on firebox for a measly £324k http://www.firebox.com/product/415?s...&src_id=moller
i noticed that the M400x is in the .pdf.. that was for sale on iwantoneofthose (or something similar) for years, what happened to that being the future? or is this just the "more future"

When the health and safty executive has just banned power blades (motorised blades) from being sold in this country as there too damgerous there's no way they'll allow this!
I would love one of the skycars, but on the other hand for the m200 at appx 42k and add to that you may not even need a pilot licence (as it only flys at 3 metres) its a sign of what may come readily available in the not too distant future.
3 metres is so uselessly low that it may as well just not fly..

m200x looks like the Avrocar - a 1950's design exploring saucer shaped craft for the US military. Avrocar got about 2 feet off the ground but was so unstable (no flyby wire in them days) it was abandoned. 60 years on we have gone from hovering precariously at 2 feet to 3 metres!!!111eleventy eleven. Such astounding progress!
These vehicles are still too heavy and inefficient to be practical. Imagine trying to get 2 kiddies the trouble and strife, spot and their luggage into one of these things for a daytrip to Margate. They make alot of claims for their rotary (will rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishel get through the filters!) engines but the first step in demonstrating their claims would be for a major motor manufacturer to use their engines in a wide range of their cars (Mazda only had one model).
Even the M400 where you can see a potential use for things like air ambulance etc has a price tag of $1 million dropping to $500,000 after 200 come off the production line. It's a nice playboys toy but it will take a very long time to better the wheel.

No speed bumps!
I don't get it. Why spend £45,000 on one of those, when £12,000 gets you one of these, available now.

If I had the photoshop skills I'd bling the OP's saucer up with a bit of a burberry paint job and some fluffy dice.
I don't trust heckilopters. Well not since working on their gearboxes.
