A ROLY-POLY daytripper has a lucky escape after she got stuck in a deckchair — as the tide came in.

Crowds watched in horror as the legs of the 20st woman’s chair became wedged in the sand.

But the woman, in her 60s, was prised out in the nick of time by two coastguards.

Ronald Coleman, 74, who saw the scene in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, said: “The tide was racing in. She was lucky.”
