What exactly is in bad taste, and why was the fresh prince spoof locked exactly?

If there is another route to go down to find this out other than a direct question in GD, then fair enough, but i didnt find that joke particularly offensive, and i had seen ti elsewhere on another forum disguised as a newspaper clipping.

Why was Jesse James dragged into this too? There was no mention of him in the post, there was not a single reference to it being a hate crime or anything else?

Should we now have big disclaimers at the start of each thread * NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY*

I didnt find it particularly funny, sorry madduck, but i don't actually see the reason for it being closed or for the level of animosity generated by it, am i just thick skinned? (i am actually, but thats just a medical thing)

also, i have no idea why JJ was was dragged into this, but Bunjiweb is the first person iv seen in quite a few forums to try and connect them

I didn't think it was in bad taste. Wasn't funny though. I guess that there are too many people who take things too seriously.

Why was that Bunjiweb person so upset about Jesse James? He was a criminal who died long ago. I am guessing that he's also a dead rap star, but obviously not a good one.

the fake "I saw some one get shot" in a gang style manner on the day they have arrseted two people potentially from gangs for shooting someone is what may have got peoples backs up, more so if your in the area or this has effected you personall, and find the joke pointless or making a joke out of gun crime.

Maybe it's because we've had rules thrust down our throats about being Politically Correct that people are now starting to read between the lines in EVERYTHING to make sure nobody would be offended or insulted?

Everyone is blowing this out of proportion. I don't think it needs this public debate over a closed thread either.

Personally - I read the thread, before it was closed, and didn't think it was appropriate with the news which was on the BBC hours before.

I do however, understand it was in jest, so it was fairly closed and left to fade in to the distant past - however you have felt the need for this to turn in to a public discussion.

I'm afraid - I'm going to close this post, and if you want to talk to me about it - you can PM me. I don't want to see more public debate on the matter, it was poor taste, it was closed - end of subject.

One final point - Dareos and Madduck you always seem to want to cause arguments, or heated debates which simply are there to stir things up. Its tiresome... please c'mon lets all be nice to each other.
