perhaps catfish were the original cats, who slowly over time lost the fish bit of there genes, becoming plain old cats, but they KNOW SOMETHING IS MISSING! and that's why they have the insatiable hunger for fish.. to make up for what is missing!

This might seem like a stupid idea to a normal individual, however it could have some merit. No one has addressed why 9 lives. Research suggests an ancient Egytpian mythological explanation.
Now, imagine my surprise when I discovered Catfish existed in ancient Egypt. A coincidence, I think not. More investigation is required...
I'm not surprised. A hammer is clearly not the appropriate tool. We need to study the origin of catfish to understand & that in itself might bring some startling revelations. Narmer, an ancient Egyptian king from around 3000BC was himself named after a Catfish lying prostrate over a chisel - just check out the heiroglyph. There is clearly a deep association between the chisel & what we've now seen is the ancestor of the modern cat.
You may draw your own conclusions as to how the above toast could have been, in past times, attached to the cat(fish).
It was whilst studying this subject that I made a yet more disturbing discovery. Heiroglyphs only encode consonant sounds. Egyptians written records were made without inclusion of any vowels. Does this sound at all familiar. Hw abt nw? Yes, that's right. It was the Ancient Egyptians who invented mobile phones & texting.
So what have we found? Ancient Egyptians loved mobile phones, understood feline augmentation via chisel and more than likely invented the perpetual motion cat/toast combo. Does this sound like the activities of a pre technology civilisation? I think not. There is much more to learn but I'm sure the truth is out there.
LoooooL @ thread gone mad!
wow it's getting surreal in here!
Here, have some scientific faktual datas:

Actually hieroglyphics do have a vowel. Only one, aleph/alef. It can be pronounced differently though, to make an 'a' sound as in 'cat' or a 'e' sound as in 'meow'. Coincidences abound.

Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet intakes.
Also, hieroglyphics are thought to be the basis of the arabic alphabet, which also has one vowel, but also uses the 'y' type of letter as a fake vowel, like in English. I can't remember if it's true of hieroglyphics as I did this years ago, but in Arabic there is also no 'P' or 'V' so Arabs drive Folfos and drink Bebsy. (see, no 'i' so use the 'y')

See I am not sure
EITHER
The cat will spin on the ground, like a motor and produce vast amounts of energy (need to find a way to harvest this)
OR
The cat will levitate, meaning that we can throw cats onto the water, fun as they won't get wet and claw the **** out of you, not so fun as they wouldn't be able to walk as they wouldnt touch the ground, so would be stuf there, floating JUST above the water....possibly perpindicular to the water....
The next question to arise, is what happened if the cat belonged to Schroedinger and was inside a box before you threw it out of a window (presumably the box is unbreakable and sealed (with appropriate ventilation so the RSPCA dont get mad)) ????
Would the cat die before it hit the ground, when it hit the ground, when you open the box or not at all???
One of life's great mysteries
