    Chinese Government bans reincarnation

    That'll learn 'em
By barring any Buddhist monk living outside China from seeking reincarnation, the law effectively gives Chinese authorities the power to choose the next Dalai Lama, whose soul, by tradition, is reborn as a new human to continue the work of relieving suffering.

Whaaa? How does that make sense?
I don't understand how the Chinese government can enforce that, logistically..... I'm confused....
You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?

Suits me, I think it highly likely that I was coming back as a cockroach (or maybe worse).

    Re: Chinese Government bans reincarnation

It's really rather sad. It's not as silly as it seems since it effectively kills Bhuddism in Tibet, or at least allows China to select the new divine leader. It's a bit like big American business pricing anyone except their purchased puppets from standing for President so that they always get a malleable creep.

    (Thanks Evilmunky)

Reminds me of a funny line from Only Fools and Horses. Rodney is having a bad day and goes 'knowing my luck, if there is such a thing as reincarnation, I'll come back as me'
