    Meerkats taking photos my.....

    ...arse!

    Newspapers (including the Metro I picked up this morning) reported that a meerkat used a camera to take a pictures when a photographer left it inside an enclosure. Now as soon as I saw the pictures it was fairly obvious something was dubious - the camera had been moved to take different shots. Now I could just about believe that a meerkat may have accidently pushed the button, but to have pointed it in a different direction and taken another shot? Hmmmmm

    Sure enough it was a hoax.

    What is it with these journalists who write any old tosh without checking the facts? Or is that a silly question?

    The pictures looked well digital too. Saw it in the Metro.
