Been in a couple of supermarkets this week and the christmas stuff is starting to fill the shelves! Isn't it getting earlier and earlier ? Soon it will be all year round!

Someone in my office has nearly finished her Christmas shopping already!
From what I've seen in retail it seems to go: Easter --> Exams --> Summer --> Back To School --> Christmas (repeat) with barely a gap between each promotional period.
Kids are back in school, therefore it's Christmas!![]()
1.21 GIGAWATTS!!!!!
I went to an eaterie in Hereford at the beginning of the month and spotted tinsel and decorations - it was for pre-booking a Christmas meal - but even so. Bleh.
I live near a small town and for a couple of years there was a Christmas shop there. All year round it played carols and had smiling Santas and the like. I imagine the turnover in staff was fairly high and that purely based on arrests when they inevitably went psychotic.
Do your Christmas shopping in the January sales. Cheaper, and less rush!![]()
Urgh dont get me started on Anything Christmas related!
IMO Everything Christmassy should be banned until December the 1st that still gives every1 a good 3 weeks until the day!
It would stop all this Christmas catalouges turning up in the middle of june!
I rather like the few days off work. It's nice to be able to spoil the nephews but that's about it - me and the missus just relax for a few days and don't get out of bed until early afternoon.
Just the other day I noticed someone had already started putting up their outdoor christmas decorations. Now I understand that it may take sometime to put these things up but do they really need to start 3 months in advance? Idiots.

Well my parents might be in Angola for christmas. I've also got something on at the start of january, so for a change i think i'm going to be on call over christmas as opposed to New Year that i normally do.
Same with me.
Christmas and the festive season does not start until 2 weeks after my Birthday which would make the date about the 6th December. before this date and I'll not start to answer the door to carol singers or even think about getting the tree out.
I used to hate working in retail operations as they'd start to plan for christmas since August and try to anticipate demand from the crazed masses.
Theres only a few things I like about the season, the food, plenty of drinking excuses and just any old excuse to get the magic mistletoe hat out and be a right slapper when I go out.
I would have listed Mince pies but since my mother works at 1 of the bakers who makes them for M&S, Asda etc I get them near enough all year round now![]()

You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?
