Looking for a piece of furniture.

An odd thread to put on hexus, but I know ibm has a furniture shop and there are people far more knowledgable about general stuff like that than me!

Anyways, my new guitar amp is arriving tomorrow (), and it is necessitating a change of the layout of the room.

What I'm looking for is a new chest of drawers, but not a full height one - the amp is 48.5cm tall and around 50cm wide, leaving around 36cm for a small chest of drawers (1 or 2 drawers only, obviously) - on which the amp would sit.

Can anyone find anything like this for relativley cheap? I've had a look on Argos (I have £25 of argos gift vouchers to be used), but couldn't find anything there - I'm still hunting, but as I've said there are better people on hexus for finiding such things!

    Cheers,
    David

edit: eek, should've put this in Shopping/Retail Therapy - sorry admins!

Dunno how you're measuring your room but if it's only 84.5cm high you must be a midget

Best bet for a short one though would be http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...%2Bdrawers.htm

Basic flatpacked stuff, comes in a couple of wood types

No, I meant the space it has to fit into - it's going below a shelf with a TV on it!

I'm not living in a tiny house

Re: Looking for a piece of furniture.

How much space do you have width wise? And do you really need drawers?
If you have space for something 190cm wide, you could look at this on its side.....

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00045560

Not sure whether it would be deep enough though...

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.
