A lot of people are a bit peed off that there isn't support for 3G, so users will have to suffer EDGE for now

Eesh that's one expensive contract. I was on the first tarrif previously for £20, almost half the price.

    Re: iPhone launch details released

Ummm pay full price for the handset, lock in for 18 months, pay £35 per month for a £15 per month tarriff (o2 "simplicity"), download at 56k. Sounds like a bargain. Buying a US version, unlocking it and putting in o2 "sim only" SIM seems more attractive.

    Re: iPhone launch details released

Not to mention the high chance of an unexpected price drop at some point in the near future, slashing the percieved value of your beloved, overpriced fashion toy...

And all the similar phones the rivals have already released which aren't subject to the commission-subsidy ban Apple have insisted upon, and as such are often free or a couple of hundred pounds less at least!

    Re: iPhone launch details released

I don't think there will be a price drop as quickly over here. But there is likely to be a 3G and 16GB version, making the initial realease look very silly, especially when the initial buyers are still a year away from an upgrade.

Can I just ask, everyone who isn't getting one, everyone saying 'no thanks', everyone who thinks its an 'overpriced fashion toy' - you aren't getting one, why do you care?

Strange habbit on HEXUS of moaning about things you are not going to own, and will not affect you.

Unless you live in France, you don't need to complain about the price of fish in France. Capiche?

Its like all the 360 owners slaging off the PS3, when they don't own one and have no intention of getting one. (And t'other way around of course)

    I stand corrected.

Also - private jet? Waste of money, I'll just fly EasyJet. Suckers!

OK I have a Third 4th and 5th generation ipod plus a nano and 3 of my children have nanos. I have an ipod touch on order, have an o2 phone that is up for renewal. I fully expected to order an iphone but will not be doing so (but I may import a US version and put a simplicity SIM in it). However I have no intention for signing up for this deal. If ipod fans don't buy this deal who will?

    Re: iPhone launch details released

    Dunno mate. Fashionistas, for one.

People who havn't got an iPod, want one, and don't mind paying £269 for an iPod and funky phone.

'Early adopters', although exactly what you are adopting early is questionable.

Don't understand why people have to rubbidh it though if they aren't getting one - first words in the thread 'one for the fanboys'.

Lets all argue about the PS3 and 360, then we can all call each other fanboys! Can you imagine the fun?
