Well, are you?
Well, are you?

I would say I am, yes.*
Not the cleverest, by any stretch - but quite clever I think.
*not being big headed, just honest
Edit: Ooh, better answer below - a better thinker than me there I think!

Alright, since you asked, I'll take my definition from Bloom's taxonomy of learning which presents six major elements.
1) Knowledge - the ability to recall facts, definitions, ways of doing things, laws and theories.
2) Comprehension - the ability to change information to a more meaningful form, to paraphrase, interpret, infer, imply and extrapolate or project forward.
3) Application - the ability to apply your knowledge, experience and skills to address unfamiliar issues in new situations when no directions or methods of solution are pre-specified
4)Analysis - the ability to identify elements and understand how they are related and arranged, including the presentation of similarities and differences
5) Synthesis - the ability to be creative and to produce a new combination not clearly evident before, a skill that can benefit from the use of analogy and metaphoric thinking
6) Evaluation - the ability to form criteria, reflect, make considered arguments, detect fallacies in the arguement of others, evaluate critically, exercise judgement and make decisions.
In short, not just elloquent, nor simply having a good memory, but all of the above.
I think people know if they're clever or not. Regardless of the yard stick.

Very true.....but I think that most people know whether they're clever or not, just be interesting to see if any is honest enough to admit it
Personally, I could do with a better memory, but I'm working on it and it's getting better.....I blame too many "social indulgences" in my late teens/early twenties....

I'm a clever dick, does that count?![]()
No.
I can shout though.
And write.
But mostly shout.
LOL *imagines Stewart shouting at old women in the same way as the "monster" from Aphex Twins 'Come To Daddy'*
I'm clever enough not to tell people I'm clever............................................doh
