    Recycling

Right so i'm trying to clear out all the junk that i've collected over the years!

Now i've got a pile of cds with drivers and such that i have no need for, i was wondering is there a free service in London that will recycle cds?

I also have two broken motherboards, xbox and a power supply unit are there any good environmental ways of getting rid of them?

    Thanks

    Re: Recycling

recycling = sending our crap to china with no safety standards, where they play with acid and molten plastic...

would rather just bury it.. the only people that recycling helps are the big company's in the middle.

exactly, all of the resources to make those things came out of the earth, think of it as putting them back in

    Re: Recycling

There has to be some sort of "good" recycling company out there that wants to help the enviroment and that.

If not i'll try to think of it as "putting them back in"!

    Re: Recycling

not whilst its being done for profit.

electricals are FAR safer buried in the ground, possibly the worst thing you could consider recycling.

plastics and glass... might have some advantages... but its still mostly shipped to china first...

If you know people with allotments or a veggie patch, cd's are good for keeping birds off, you hang a few from a piece of string and the light reflecting off them as they move in the breeze does it.

    Re: Recycling

We should have a competition to see who has the most computer related junk they cant get rid of, I'm sure a few are guilty of saying "well this 14k dialup modem maybe useful sometime"
