Arc welding, clearly. I once arc-welded my arm to my arse, then tried to make a sandwich, and ended up arc-welding the cheese to my face and the fridge to the ceiling.

Glue!
Seriously can't beat when you get Loctite allover your fingers and you end up walking around the house trying to find something to remove the stuff whilst your hands are glued together/to your face.
What are you attaching? As the saying goes: "Different horses for different courses..." There's no one-size-fits-all in this business. :cool:
Pins all the way....they don't rip off the paper/paint when you decide to remove the poster !

depends what you am using, pins are cool but so is blue tac, but if my bike was welded with blue tac it wouldnt work so it depends

Paper to walls = blu tac
Big things to metal stuff = welding
Pins? Pfft, they leave holes in your wall and posters and are only good for holding plates to bones.
i am more a fan of MIG/TIG welding... i find arc welding to be weak ....
I say tacky Blue stuff. That stuffs fun to play with plus... If u want to stick summit to a wall i.e my new Radiohead - There There Vynle(sp?) with out damaging it tacky Blue stuff is the only way

What about attaching a handle (thing) to a mug (stuff). Blu-tac would hardly be appropriate, and white tack almost as useless. Nay, the answer is GLUE! Far more all purpose than anything else listed! :D

i would have gone for sellotape , but glue the only thing bad about it is when you have to spend hours picking it of your fingers :(
I've just spent the day soldering bits of copper together.... Watercooling with selotape would never work.....
