What do you prefer ladies?
* A clean shaven "boys" face or
* A rugged unshaven "man" face or
* Doesn't bother me (a.k.a. appearances don't bother me; personality driven person) or
* Other (Goatee, Elvis style :P, etc)

When I saw the thread title I thought we were comparing 70's pr0n with the modern day stuff.
That's nothing - i'm pre-coffee and I thought it was a vote for what men like in their women..
oops..
(and no, i wasn't thinking upper body area)
Hollywood wax ftw!

And beards are wrong.
Truth spoken. I shave but twice a week but Mrs DAngel loves me just the same. Bless.
Most girls of my acquaintance seem to like clean shaven blokes. I am stubbly and sort of have a goatee (never really longer than several days' growth though) but the girls I've been out with since I've had it (early 90s) have all liked it and didn't want me to shave it off... but generally I'd say the ladies prefer shaven men judging by the comments I've heard. :)
Every man should try to grow a moustache at least once in their life.
I recently tried and failed, it looked like I was eating a hamster with alopecia :(
As for the poll, I\'m not a lady, so I don\'t know.
Handlebar moostash ftw ;)
i look stupid babyfaced, but the girls clean-shaven men

I reckon it depends on the hair growth. I'm not a woman so maybe you dont care what I think :P But my beard grows a bit patchy and I've got little areas where its not thick. So I look like err.. I dunno. A pirate or something. But take some heart throb (nob), like Shane from X factor or whatever, and their designer stubble is all perfectly even. Mines not like that and then it gets too long and i look like a hobo.
5pm stubble is fine for me, due to pure lazyness
And as long as I dont grow a beard my gf isnt fussed either way :)
mainly because although I have black hair naturally I get ginger bits in my beard :(
One week of not shaving for me and beard lad is camped on my face!
If you have dark hair then going out with the stubble look on really makes some girls purrr. I mean literally they stroke your face in delight.
Clean shaven is always the safest option - but the most effort rating!
i cant grow a proper beard, its kindy patchy, plus i would look stupid with a beard anyway... oh and my gf hates it when i havent shaved in a couple days...
I actually grew mine ( a goatee) because I lived in the Middle East and the Koran says that men shouldn't shave (though it's OK if you are a father) so a smooth-cheeked baby-face like me tended to get a bit overlooked in meetings. I grew the hair (scrawny and blonde) and suddenly became a man. So I keep it.
I like having a beard :) It maketh me feel soo macho
Mine grows at a silly rate but I like to be clean shaven.
If I grow mine for a few days, I have ginger and grey stripes near my mouth so I shave all the time to hide this fact.
moustache = midlife crisis
I hate dhaving, but because of my job I have to shave everyday, although a few days growth ion me does tend to get very itchy and I'll end up shaving it off anyway. I can't wet shave either because I just cut myself to bits so it has to be electric job for me.
As with Tigs it does depend on the bloke, some look really good clean shaven - but you can't really go wrong with a bit of rugged stubble.
I didn't realise how hot one of my good friends was until I saw him with a bit of stubble, he looks quite average clean shaven.
However, my fella goes through various phases of facial hair fads because it grows so rapidly. One week he will be completely clean shaven, head and all the next he will have a goatee or moustache and some kind of beard combo and has even had massive chops before - just because really. And why not, if you can grow it why not experiment I say! :)
I had beard for a couple of weeks recently. (there is a pic on facebook and bebo i think). although i couldn't be bothered to trim it so it got fartoo itchy. Shaved it off and it felt really great.
I'll probably grow one and shave it off frequently. it like both extremes personally.
No idea if anyone else likes it though :)
EDIT: may grow one for the next Hexus meet i can get too, just for the hellof it...
This is mine:

I think it's unobtrusive enough to not turn women off, but elegant enough to stop people thinking about pubes.
she likes clean shaven, because it's less..............scratchy (hem, hem)

^My current look. Quite a hit with the ladies*, let me tell you.

my gf always asks me to shave cause it is irritating on her face when she kisses me. I can udnerstand that, but i think i look better rugged
Also slightly more on topic, Im usually clean shaven for work, then just let it grow during the week, unless ive got any special plans etc.
I look like a tit with a beard/sideburns though, but its just too much effort to shave too often!
I'm gonna vote :D
some men look better rugged, i.e. sean from eastenders / that robin hood bloke on BBC1.
some men look better smooth i.e. bradley from eastenders / that dr. who bloke on BBC1
My missus likes my 'Facial Hair Abilities' (FAH)... She punched me when I shaved before, says she likes the tickle. Also, my chin is cold if I shave.
Keep it trimmed to a number 4 though, so it's not mental and stinking.
