Amazon has it for £90. You can check it out irl at HMV stores where the 4gig costs £100. One of the best mp3 players around at the moment judging by reviews.

    Re: Creative Zen

I got the 8gb one for £132 at Currys in the end.

Madduck, play.com have the 4gb at £89 and the 8gb at £119. You need a driver for it with XP, but you can access it as mass storage once its installed. On Vista, apparently you can just plug it in and it works. No driver needed.

It's a really good player. Beats the new nano in every respect. My mate wishes he'd got the Zen now

Quite so. That's the only reason my daughter didn't get a new one this summer. WTF are they playing at?

    Re: Creative Zen

Any non generic MP3 players these days are called 'iPod killer' these days. Ignoring market share, none of them are decisively better in all category. They all have things they do better, but I've not seen a single package that does it all for my needs so far (main thing I like about the Vision:M is the screen).

I'm inclined to agree, but they have one major disadvantage over the iPod. The vast bulk of after-market accessories, from cases to car stereo compatibility to external speaker systems are designed for iPod. If you don't need any of that, then the Vision:M is superb (IMHO). It just depends what you want.

    Re: Creative Zen

They do look very smart, was going to get a new mp3 player, but as I've just bought 2 more gigs of ram for my PC, the mp3 player will have to wait.
