If it is parked across the road and not directly over the drive then you can't actually make them move if they are parked outside their own house unfortunately. We had this issue in the past and in the end we just made the drive wider
hello,
Well, she came and said that it wasn't 'because she was being awkward', but because her 'brake cable snapped.' She said she could park in her drive because it is on a slope. I don't understand why she hasn't had it repaired ever since she started doing it years ago.
Anyway, she said she'd sort it out when 'she could afford it' and said she'd park a bit further forward, as a comprimise.
Well, it's not too difficult to reverse out now so we're happy, but it's still pathetic behaviour if you ask me...
Industrial espionage is simply the sincerest form of flattery......
personally, i think the best answer is simple and cheap.
yellow paint
No no no - paint the car yellow, and then she'll think hers has been stolen...
I think?
I'm with moby on this one. If they aren't actually blocking your driveway then they have every right to park on the other side of the road. If the road is very narrow and they won't move then they're just inconsiderate and there isn't much you can do with people , like that.
We are in the same situation with people across the way from us. Their son in particular who visits on the weekend has made a huge fuss about it (verbal abuse, hand gestures that sort of thing), but he hasn't got a leg to stand on though. The car that we have that has to be on the road is on the opposite side of the road relative to their drive and the car doesn't even come half way across their drive. The road is wide enough for a van to manoeuvre on and off their drive.
They have always, been very bitter and generally horrible people that just want to pick a fight. One day they did get some fight back after the son parked DIRECTLY in front of our drive. Needless to say it ended in him loosing the argument (we know things about them that the council would be interested to know) and he hasn't dared to block our drive since. Their just a bunch of loud mouths who at the first sign of trouble shrivel up and bugger off like some weed thats been sprayed with some weed killer. They have always been the same.
