David would have been a better name
Seriously though - only thing annoys me is the programs that used to be shown later being shown too early...
it's just UKTV G2 renamed to Dave isn't it ?
Apparently UKTV says the new name is based on the idea that "everyone knows a bloke called Dave".

Dave was UKTV G2, I don't know if it has replaced anything on Freeview but all that changed on Sky was that Channel 111 suddenly was named "Dave", the content seems to be the same on there. By the sounds of it they might have changed the Freeview line-up at the same time?
Oh yeah, and I'm Dave.
1.21 GIGAWATTS!!!!!
UKTV History is on 19 now - but only shows until early evening
"Dave" is on 12 most of the day.
I wonder why it's been changed. Doesn't bode well cos at least with UKTV2 you knew what the channel was most likely going to show.
Your my wife now - audio from the official site.
I know it's really weird isn't it? So simple an idea but so sinister.
Marklar?

but why dave?
Has anyone noticed on the homepage that there is a link to 'enter Dave'.
I am now officially disgusted.

I'm sorry but why name a TV Channel after a bloke ? The program line up for today didn't look too bad from what I saw of it, Top Gear with the Limos they made and then my Dad insisted on watching airport which was a bit boring to be honest but it looks good so far.
and red dward... its basically the exact same channel except called Dave
