I've pulled the two that have appeared so far.

Racism isn't something that can be done 'slightly'... it either is or isn't.

And some of the phrases I've seen used eg, 'Paki' are offensive.

So to draw the line VERY clearly for you all, NO racist jokes.

It's still arguable though. You could say that every different nationality is a race, or you could do the opposite and just say 'human race'

We always have done, and always will, discriminate. It's just how we naturally are.

What we must never forget that it works both ways. A black man could say 'hey nigga' to another, or to a white man (listen to most rap), but a white man will get prosecuted for just thinking about it. Sounds like racism to me.

You can take offence over injustices within, say, employment ratios. Take for example the police force. They pledged to recruit more women and black people a while back. This is discrimination of white males, surely?


Going back to jokes, my personal view is, if you can make a joke to the type of person in that joke (i.e. a 'racist' joke to a black man), and they will find it funny and not get bring a lawsuit against you, then that's fine.


For the record, I do not condone racists. You can tell a black joke and not be racist (like I have said, I have many coloured friends. I can still laugh at jokes which are 'racist') however, if it turns to spite, then it immediately becomes wrong.


If we cannot act in a sensible way even when we are just joking around, then the world has become a rotten place, not one I would wish to be in. Hopefully though, people like that make up less than 0% of the world population.

Maybe you can but all of the jokes here are in text and you are not telling them face to face among a group of friends in the pub.
You are telling them to ANYONE that cares to read.

This thread is a joke thread, not a political one so why not just tell jokes.

If someone cant tell a joke that doesnt directly have a go at someone because they are somehow different, then the mind of some are very small.

Here's my joke for today :

Since working for HEXUS I've been less active but carried on eating as normal, so I've put on a bit of weight.

Last night the missus cuddles up to me and in her sexiest voice she purrs "Darling, if you start exercising and lose two stone I'll give you a lap dance..."

My reply: "You lose two stone and I'll watch"

I never realised how uncomfortable my sofa is to sleep on.
