i hate the carols, they're just bloody annoying (same thing year after year after bloody year...)
and decorations are pointless too

all the rest is good though, until your family get up your nostrils after 1 hour together

I hate hearing Slade every year. I hate the fact that the advertisting avalanche begins in September. I hate that I can't get into a shopping centre for Christmas shoppers. I hate the crap TV. I am pretty sure I hate Christmas...

Carols are one of the best things about Christmas! I'm already looking forward to carols by candlelight at the local church on the 21st

Because I work in retail, and pretty much have to work the xmas season and I only get one day off (Chritmas day) as far as I'm concerend I may aswell not have a Christmas, whatever magic it had, has been lost since I've been working in retail.

You are so right,when you are an adult it does not feel much like Christmas but when there are kids around its a whole different story.
My tree and decorations are up and the three children(11,12,16) have spent the pocket money they have saved buying little presents and have placed them under the tree.
Their anticipation of Christmas day makes the whole thing worthwhile.
If it was down to me I would cancel it but the smiles on kids faces makes it all good.

Decorations go up in our house on December 1st without fail. I wish it could be Christmas everyday.

I hate lots of things about christmas..how the shops, roads, attractions of the world are always packed, how every restaurant seems to jack the prices up, how it gets so cold without any snow, the annoying christmas songs (and carols), remembering to buy presents in time..and how people get lazy and start calling Christmas "X-mas" or "Chrimbo" or something equally annoying.

On the plus side though it is nice to have a couple of days off, its nice to put up the christmas tree, send/receive cards, see all the family..

So I am definitely in the middle, but I have to say I have started to dislike more about Christmas the older I get..maybe its because I've lost the 'magic' that was there as a kid.

i might enjoy christmas this year.... this will be the first year in 6 years that i wont be working right up to christmas eve, and from boxing day on, and the first time in 7 years i wont have exams in January... so im actually looking forward to it this year...

but i do hate carols....
