how to get my own back at my hosting provider

basically we have been forced to move websites thanks to streamline.net not once resolving any issue we have, and most of the time denying there is a problem until a month later they "find" a new problem thats only just happened that day, yeh right

anyway to cut a long story short they wont refund us any money.

the only way to get a refund is to force them to shut us down as were using to much load/bandwidth, they then refund you.

question is whats the best way to go about this ? i need a lot of traffic, so some large downloads would be good. i also run a dedicated games server with remote desktop so in the quiet hours i can upload some huge files to it that people need.

all i need to know is, who has file mirror needs so i can get it hammerd ?

or host a speedtest proggy on your site. I think you can apply at speedtest.net or there are loads of other speedtest sites that would love your bandwidth. or I can max it for you if you wish
Put anything there I don't mind downloading.

Am I the only person who feels "unsettled" about HEXUS being used to assist in a bit of naughtyness?

Are you allowed to use it as a file host? If not they can terminate you without a refund?

Re: how to get my own back at my hosting provider

Yes, I had a bad experience with streamline.net, basically signed up for a cheap hosting package with them and ran into difficulty straight away when basically I couldn't get an FTP connection and it suggested I use their dialer to make a connection.

Bloody furious at a blatant con, e-mailed them and stated (probably in error) that I was cancelling the package under DSR and their 30 day money back guarentee. They refused to refund me the 9.95 domain registration fee (again well, they were probably right but it wasn't in their T&C), and after much arguing via e-mail, I got everything refunded

Personally if I were you, I'd just argue and argue and argue with them, they'll crack in the end
