Can't believe Slade is only 37. But then, I suppose everyone already has it so they don't need to aquire it.

I strongly dislike going anywhere near a high street or shopping centre during the "Christmas" period. The same crap songs on an endless loop whatever store you go to. More crowded shops and streets - people at their grumpiest ever. Even more women using prams as WMDs.

Re: all the festive faves hit the top 40 like a palgue

    I am glad that:

    a) Mariah Carey is the highest of the Christmas re-entries- since 'All I Want For Christmas' is the best Christmas song of the last 20 years IMO*.

b)Wizzard are beating Slade, as they should have done in 1973.

But...where is Christmas Wrapping? That's the best Christmas song of the last 30 years....

*I'm also very fond of 'I want an Alien for Christmas' by the Fountains Of Wayne, and its B-side 'The man in the Santa suit'.

i've been forced to listen to them for the last 2 days at work. they make me want to kill myself. seriously. it would be at least a little better if they broke them up with a few normal songs and maybe modifyed them to play as mono not one half of a stereo track.

bunch of fruitcakes the lot of them

True, working in retail at xmas is the worst thing ever!! I knew the songs to the bodyshop xmas track off by heart by the end!

I agree though, would be nice to break up the xmas songs with normal songs, as it gets a bit sickly after a while.

I don't mind Christmas songs but when I was subjected to them for 8 hours on loop at Game I went mad. As Tiggerai says, they really need to be intersped with something else to stop ensuing violence.
