I have a job interview this Weds aft. No idea what the place will be like or anything, they didn't even mention the salary in the newspaper ad (oh how I hate that). At the end of the day, I have nothing to loose, and can always say no.

BTW is it normal for job interviews to be on 'unpaid leave'?

Don't think a company can not pay your leave because you're going for an interview... though I wouldn't have told them if I thought it would create an issue in that regard.

I'm actually in the same boat as you, have an interview tomorrow lunch, no idea on pay or anything... or what to expect really. I figure if nothing else it will be good interview experiance for when I find a better suited job!!

I'm just sneaking out for an hour or two at lunch for mine though... have to dress smart to work tomorrow though... Do'h!!

Bah, too right I work in IT... I don't even know what dates are!!

People at my work know I'm looking anyway, so no big deal.. I just do a lot of physical work where I am and need to keep it looking nice till' atleast 13:00

What if you go to 20 interviews and still don't land a better offer? Then your current work will know they have you over a barrel...better to keep your cards close to your chest I reckon

Trust me, there IS a better offer than here!

There are typical IT blokes and non-typical, thankfully I fall under the latter. I think Tigs does too (not just cos shes a she!)! Don't know the rest of you well enough to comment!

LOL Mad! Isn't that noose anyways? I think I would rather hang some of the staff. Its funny, everywhere you go, there is always one (or more) people that break equipment. Have they ever thought its actually THEM that break it and are useless? I still stand by the fact there are some people who shouldn't use the self service checkouts at Tesco. Same with computer equipment.
