    What a long long day......

    loooooong looooooooong day.

I don't think I've even begun on the stuff that needed doing, I've simply sorted, dealt with, calmed, reorganised, gently attacked, mildy defended, gratuitously stamped on and then it was 7pm.

I shant go into details...BUT I wonder if you have had a similar day?

It seems to happen like that, across the whole country sometimes.,.

was it like that today where YOU worked?

Re: What a long long day......

I had what fet like a really long day, I would exactly say I worked hard though.

    It mainly involved:
    Hexus: click "New Posts"
Hexus: reply to new and interesting threads
(repeat for a few more forums)
    Webmail: re-fresh inbox
Webmail: reply to any new mail
    Make coffee or tea

Repeat until home time at 5

    And I'm really no joking...

Well, I had a debate with a "customer" who insisted that I wasn't allowed to withhold information under the Data Protection Act and it wasn't even about him!!

Then, I also had another guy visit our website, which despite being marked "Trade only" thought that was someone who had bought locksmith tools from one of these dodgy sites, entitled him to be a trade customer.

I definately agree, stupidity is definately contangious!

Hooters is something that really wouldn't work in the UK.

If there was a Hooters in the UK, not only would most of the waitresses be fugly, they'd be getting groped by every man and his dog as they walked past.

In the states, they see it as no more than a sports bar.

Re: What a long long day......

Quite frankly rubbish. Felt rough when I woke up (icky cold) got to work (battling stupid traffic) then discovered a huge amount of student laptops that needed fixing on my desk, some of the Vista.

Found a network socket which seems to go to the null and void, apparently it is needed for tomorrow. More laptops, some of them in mandarin, discovered that Vista doesn't do PEAP authentication in the same way as XP and then had to wait an hour to be picked up.

Got home went to do a private job, didn't get paid.

    Now miffed.

    Feel your pain Zak.

Re: What a long long day......

Today was pretty good as days in the office go. I usually dread going into the office because the continual interruptions make it tricky to keep a train of thought but today people seemed to realise that the closed office door meant "Bugger off and leave me alone."

It wasn't an especially taxing day either, I setup a bunch of 2003 servers in ESX for testing some AD schema changes, swore a lot about the Microsoft DNS server being iffy and got up to date with my expenses.

All in all, a pretty reasonable day.
