    I got 2 Ooooooooooooold Software CD's

CYCLONES PC Game ( Released 1994 ) by Raven Software
    Microsoft Works 95 with COA

My Question is : Is there some place to sell these and make lots of money? They can be called Collectables now, right?

Re: Ancient Software Discs. Cash to be made?

no. not at all. not in a billion years.

for a game to have value it needs to be rare (small print run), exceptional in some way (e.g. great review scores, or the first game to do *something*), immaculate condition, and have a target market. a middling pc fps isn't going to get any interest from anyone

as for works, a few million were pressed, and it's worthless to everyone

Re: Ancient Software Discs. Cash to be made?

    '94 - old?

I wonder what the ones I've got here from the late '70s (Apple II software, for instance) are worth?

Or early '70s 7-bit ASCII paper tape programs?

Or somewhere, I've still got a card deck that loaded Battleships onto an IBM S360 mainframe ..... in the '60s.

    94? Old? Oh my sides.

To put it another way .... not everything is valuable 'cos it's old.

    Me, for instance.

Re: Ancient Software Discs. Cash to be made?

rarity and a market are key

uncommon sega saturn games from acclaimed developers have value. microsoft products don't

nobody's ever shown an interest in my official red faction 2 vodka, for instance - uncommon yes, anyone who cares in the least? nah

I've got some kick ass Dragon 32 and Atari VCS games.

    Actually no, they're all crap - it's 2008.

Um, not necessarily ... it was sold for £16.00 recently
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

My ZX81 and Amiga 500 (both festering in the attic) aren't going to pay for my retirement?

Ah well, back to plotting the perfect crime then.

You have a CDTV wow! Don't know if they are worth anything but I would love one to add to my collection. Never thought to look for one mind.

I have a Saturn with loads of games and some of those are worth £30+, the only one I don't have is Panzer Dragoon Saga and I will never pay the £90 asking price for it.

If you've got a few copies of Radient Silvergun you can make a few quid on eBay.

I have about 50 games on 2 c90 tapes for the Speccy 48k that have been lying in an open box in a loft with a leaky roof and a pigeon problem for the past 22 years.

any bids? (i think one of the games may be Chuckie Egg)

My brother still has his Amiga 500 too.

Loved the CDTV at the time, but it was a complete pain. Laterly i wished I had gone for an Amiga 1200 instead. Oh well, I really wanted a CD drive/player at the time.
