Wasn't as good as 299, but much better than 104.
You can download 300 now on XBLA in normal and HD for a few 100 points btw.
I like it a lot; it really plays silly buggers with the history, and I think it's not as good as it would have been if it did more to place Thermopylae in context, and it missed the Council of Corinth AND Leonidas' consultation with the oracle at Delphi (also the impact of Salamis). For all that, I think it caught the spirit very well, and it DID finish with Plataea, appropriately. If you haven't seen it already, the BBC/Discovery/Granada did a 2-part documentary called "Spartans At The Gates Of Fire", which if they repeat you should definitely watch. The 1962 film is also worth a look - you won't find it as exciting, but it's more consistent with the history.
The documentary sounds interesting, if I see if repeating, I'll be sure to watch it.
Yeh i liked it alot is well, i thought the Spartans looked proper hardcore warriors and the fighting scenes and camera work was pretty awesome is well.
Hell and Fire was spawned to be released.
Not seen it yet, but does look good.
I got this on DVD a couple of weeks back and thought it was incredible, every one of those guys seemed to be twice as hard as Achilles in Troy, and I was pretty damn impressed by that as well (the bit with Hector and Achilles outside the walls is probably one of the best duel scenes ever).
I watched it with my missus, and I have to report she started giggling at that bit when they walk out of the city and they all have these rippling six packs. I had the last laugh though, turns out they were computer enhanced! (so I hear anyway)
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
It's a good pop-corn movie. Never meant to be historically accurate (succeeds in spade there!), just a bit of fun. Looking forwards to more Frank Miller graphic novel conversions, especially Sin City 2 and 3![]()
They used computer generated shadows to enchance the physique of the 300 sparton warriors.

Besides making me feel that I need to go to the gym, it was a very good movie.
A great entertaining film. Saw it on the Imax and was so impressed. The sideways scrolling battlescenes were the Spartans are ripping through the enemy were just awesome.
Some nice humour in there too. "Lay down your weapons" "Come and get them"
i loved it. totally mens health !

...and what have we learned about pissing off Glaswegians...?
100% boy film - I was bored senseless.
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room
Or Molon labe! - there's actually a good historical basis for that bit.
