Hi all,
I've just been given the phone above and when i put my old sim in, it says "Phone restricted"

Is there any way i can find out the code? is it illegal to do so? Any web sites out there that give this type of information?

Take it into a Carphone Warehouse or local independant dealer and ask them to make it sim free. Costs around £10 and that way it is being done legally as the IMEI is not being changed at all. Only some of the Carphone Warehouse stores do this but almost all the independant dealers do it.

Reason it is doing that is because its locked to another network at present.

Anyone else replying to this please keep it legal or the thread will be dumped. Want no mention of Nokia Calculators or rewriting the rom on the handset.

Certain places do DCT4 unlocking for free. Do a Google groups search on uk.telecom.mobile.
