    Contract for builders

    Hi,

    Someone I know has edited a contract for building work to be carried out on their home to create a loft. Template of contract the builder gave them they have used that and put in items the builder had verbally agreed to but omitted in writing.

    Maybe a silly question but does it have to have the heading 'contract' at the top?

    ================================

    Present format is:

    [Builders Name & Address]

    [Present owner and property address]
    [Statement of what they have agreed to]

    [checklist of individual works to be completed]

    [Payment Instalments]

    [Total cost]

    [Signatures from both builder and owner]

    Re: Contract for builders

    no harm in shoving 'contract' at the top, at least everyone'll know what the document is
