So what is ManFlu? Why isn't their WomanFlu?
Does ManFlu = Cold?
Well whatever it is I have been told I have it. Although I think its just a cold. Hope your Virus checkers are up to date!

The woman equivalent is BirdFlu - That actually kills people.
Manflu is the onset of whinging that usually accompanies the common cold in the male of the Homo sapien species.

I don't think I've ever had a day off for any cold related illeness, just man up and head to work/uni or out
Plus they only last 3 days for me.
Day 1. Sore throat + head ache .. you can't wuss out here
Day 2. Snot and Less enengy .. blow your nose and eat some decent food .. DONE
Day 3. Less of the above leading to a bit of the old aftermath snot but nothing else.
Manflu.. Do you remember that old Monty Python scetch, with the Aussies and the Rules..
Rules 1, 3, 5, 7 apply![]()

Totally agree on the 'tough of flue' thing (for me its right up there with 'I don't burn I just go brown'). I really don't think that many people have in fact had real flu, I have only ever had it once while I was at school (I was about 14). I had an exam in the afternoon and I had been shivering all morning, I went to my Gran's for my lunch and she wouldn't let me go back. Turns out she had the right idea because I was confined to bed for about 2 weeks doing nothing but shivering my tits off fully clothed and under 3 duvets. Real flu is horrendous.
That being said, if I get a cold or I feel a bit nauseous I will always stay off work, it really does my head in that the reason I am ill is because some idiot decided to 'solider on' and come in ill. If your ill stay at home, do not come into work and infect the entire building (aircon is a wonderful thing..). Do the decent thing and stay at home and get better if your really concerned about productivity, because infecting the entire place is not gonna help.

HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
I read a news story the other day about a study which found that women take 46%
more sick days than men.
